Although we offer a wide variety of hot and iced drinks, we also provide savory and sweet food options. So whether you're stopping for your morning coffee, lunch, or Fossleman’s Famous Ice Cream we've got you covered! Waverly Cooking School is a school for all ages. Join us for fun and creative classes taught by professional chefs and instructors. With an exciting lineup of cooking and baking classes, community events and celebrity chefs, Waverly Cooking School is your place to learn new recipes and skills, gather with friends or colleagues, or plan a private party.
My name is Sandy, Waverly founder and owner. I always dreamed of opening a delightful neighborhood gathering place where children and adults can both enjoy. My background is in both cooking school operations and the hospitality industry. My motivation is driven by my amazing children who mean the world to me. My vision while creating Waverly was for the community to have a place where they can sit down, read a great book with a great cup of coffee and pastry or take a fun interactive cooking class. I believe that everyone has the ability to reach their dreams and goals. Sometimes in life we are faced with obstacles. Sometimes we are faced with difficulties and in those times of misfortune we need to face adversity with courage. We need to be FEARLESS and we need to follow our dreams. You will have adventures, you will also get your hearts broken. You will make mistakes and make amends. Don’t ever let anything deter you from taking that leap and go out there and make some waves. Do not let anyone hold you back. Be FEARLESS. I believe that the most important things in life should be your compassion and commitment towards others. I have poured my heart and soul into creating a cozy and caring place for all to enjoy! I hope to see you soon at Waverly!
Carrie is board-certified in holistic nutrition and author of the cookbook, What to Cook, Why to Eat It. Her recipes are health conscious, delicious, and always easy to make. Carrie is the former head chef for the online cooking school Healthy Hat, teaches culinary and health classes and helps clients through her private practice, Two Hearts Nutrition. She prides herself in creating inspired menus for busy folks and loves teaching people how to cook and eat for weight loss, energy enhancement, hormone balancing, and management of chronic health issues. Her cooking classes are always fun because she believes food is so much more than just nutrition. It’s enjoyment, connection, love, celebration, and history. Carrie is thrilled to bring her experience and unique dishes to Waverly.
